Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for an Attorney/Lawyer in Plantation, Florida. This role involves providing legal services in relation to consumer and housing law. The selected candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks including research, drafting, and preparation of documents.Responsibilities: Handling client intake interviews and maintaining detailed records of interactions. Engaging in comprehensive legal research and writing, interpreting statutes, and analyzing relevant case law. Advising clients on their legal rights concerning housing and consumer law issues. Developing and presenting cases, with strategies and arguments prepared in advance. Assessing the relevance of witnesses and evidence and representing clients in court. Overseeing case status through case management systems and updating supervising attorneys on case progress, issues, and outcomes. Supervising paralegals, assigning work, reviewing all legal work, and monitoring workload. Participating in discovery and depositions. Conducting community outreach events both in-person and virtually, as well as on social media. Complying with program and grant requirements and obtaining cross-training in all legal areas handled by the unit.Requirements Must hold a valid license to practice law in the State of Florida A minimum of 2 years of experience in the legal field Background in Consumer Law is required Proficiency in Fair Housing and Fair Housing Law Ability to draft legal documents with precision and efficiency Strong skills in legal research and analysis Experience in client intake and consultation processes Capable of managing discovery procedures in legal casesRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
