Accounting Clerk

Description We are seeking an Accounting Clerk for an insurance industry in Plantation, Florida. The role primarily focuses on processing customer credit applications, maintaining accurate customer credit records, and resolving customer credit inquiries. This is a short-term contract employment opportunity where you will be expected to monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments.Responsibilities: Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently Maintain accurate customer credit records Resolve customer credit inquiries in a timely manner Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments Perform data entry and administrative duties as required Assist with the processing of cancellations and posting payments to member accounts Maintain spreadsheets of all sales, cancellations, postings, and initial ACH and credit card declines Process applications that are unable to be processed through the b2c sales team Utilize Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, for various tasks Assist in preparing for commissions twice a month Reconcile accounts, handle accounts payable and receivable, and manage invoice processing. Requirements Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR) Experience with Billing and Invoice Processing Ability to perform Data Entry tasks efficiently Proficient in Microsoft Excel Understanding of Commissions, Bonus Commission, and Compensation - Commissions Experience with Credit Card Charges and Credit Card Payments Prior experience in the insurance industry is desirable Knowledge of accounting principles and regulations Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team High level of integrity and trustworthiness Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field is preferred.
