Underground Crew Member
Wise Connect, Inc./GridSource is currently seeking additional members to join our Underground Missile Crews. This would be a great opportunity for anyone looking to start with a company from the ground up and build a lasting relationship.
An underground missile crew will be boring 2" pipe and pulling fiber and coaxial cable. In additional to burial of the line the technician may handle damage claims related to irrigation systems, landscaping repairs, and other restoration required due to work performed. Will have to work inhot and cold weather. Must have the ability to work with shovels and excavating hand tools.Must also be able to liftweight of 50 lbs.
Specific Responsibilities:
Job will require digging to spot existing utilities, digging launch and recovery pits, operating underground Pnuematic missile, proofing pipe, pulling mule tape, pulling cable, and setting pedestals. Use of hand tools such as Sledgehammers, Trenching Shovels, Concrete Saws, and Pickaxes in performance of job duties. Uses pneumatic Missile system to bore underground such as roadways, driveways, sidewalks, paved parking paths, etc. as required. Drives company vehicles in performance of job duties. Performs other duties such as clean-up and salvage of wrecked out materials; provides general assistance to other employees as directed.
Requirements:
Able to pass Background and Drug screening.
Have a good driving record.
Able to lift 75+ lbs. continuously.
Able to work with minimal supervision and complete tasks assigned in a timely manner.
