Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Leasing Manager to oversee our property leasing operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in property management and a deep understanding of landlord-tenant laws, fair housing regulations, and leasing procedures. This role requires exceptional customer service skills and the ability to build positive relationships with tenants, prospective renters, and property owners.
Duties
Manage all aspects of the leasing process, including marketing properties, conducting tours, and processing applications
Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and landlord-tenant laws
Maintain accurate records of leases, contracts, and tenant interactions
Utilize property management software such as Yardi or OneSite for data entry and customer relationship management
Handle tenant inquiries and resolve conflicts effectively through strong negotiation skills
Coordinate property maintenance requests and ensure timely responses to tenant needs
Develop and implement strategies for upselling additional services or amenities to prospective tenants
Collaborate with the sales team to achieve occupancy goals and maximize rental income
Conduct regular market analysis to stay informed about rental trends and adjust pricing strategies accordingly
Skills
Strong knowledge of landlord-tenant law and Section 8 housing programs
Experience with property management software (Rent Manager, OneSite)
Excellent customer service skills with a focus on relationship building
Strong conflict management abilities to handle tenant disputes professionally
Familiarity with real estate administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and office management
Knowledge of facilities management principles and practices
Effective phone etiquette for communication with tenants and vendors
Ability to negotiate contracts effectively while maintaining positive relationships
