Direct Care Staff is responsible for delivering direct service and support to the Consumer with Developmental Disabilities. The Direct Care staff will assist Consumers with their daily routines, carrying out Daily activities plan performs all other duties necessary to meet the individual needs of each Consumer including but not limited to ADLs, housekeeping, laundry, and food service. All job functions are performed with consumer service. The Direct Care Staff schedule is assigned by the General Services Program Manager.

Qualifications:

18 years or older

High school diploma or equivalent

Eligible as determined by FDLE(Level 2) background screening

Maintain current CPR and First Aid Certification

Copy of driver's license, vehicle registration, and "Declaration Page(s) of automobile

insurance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist Consumers with activities of daily living (ADLS)

Demonstrate ability to complete required documentation and capable of communicating with Consumer and Agency

Understand and comply with the applicable federal and state regulations as they pertain to medication assistance, resident rights, and Hippa

Treat Consumers with dignity and respect in all communications

Maintain confidentiality of all Consumer and family information

Demonstrate ability to understand with the importance of documentation in communication books and daily progress report

Actively participate in daily reports at the beginning and end of each shift

Adheres to company dress code

Take steps to minimize safety hazards and incidents. Complete required orientation and ongoing training to promote personal and professional development

Participate in mandatory staff meetings

Promote positive and respectful relations with Consumers, residents' families, and co-workers

Respond in the event of an emergency to protect the health, safety, and well-being of the Consumer

Maintain current CPR and First Aid Certification

Proper uniform and appearance policy must be followed

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 – 10 per week
