DescriptionCivil/Mechanical SUPERINTENDENTResponsibilitiesEssential Duties:
Review maintenance weekly schedules and assist General Foreman in the coordination of work and manpower
Provides daily resource reports to the customer
Perform field walks to ensure work force is assembling to work sites in an expeditious manner
Expected to perform safety audits and Time on Tools analysis.
Ensure that his General Foremen and Foremen are conducting Austin required safety audits, Time on Tools, planner feedback and /delay tracking via IPad AIMS & CARE programs
Interface with Unit Coordinators to determine effectiveness of the Austin crafts
Daily walkabouts to review field craft effectiveness
Attends daily schedule reviews
Attends weekly scheduling meetings
Expected to be a visible and vocal leader in weekly/monthly safety meetings
Ensures effective utilization of rolling stock
Validate Austin’s safety policies are being followed
Inspects the quality work of our craftsman
Identify skills of each field craftsman and propose any training needs to enhance or sustain performance
Supports the General Foreman in disciplinary actions taken against employees
Ensures General Foreman is placing the right skill set of the craftsman to effectively execute the job tasks
Provides oversight of employee absenteeism and tardiness
Active involvement in all safety and quality related incidents investigations
Performs additional assignments per Site Manager direction
Acts as the Site Manager in their absence
Qualifications
Five years’ experience as a maintenance superintendent or general foreman
Refinery experience with a strong mechanical background
Interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with the customer reps
Computer literacy – excel, graphs, reports, IPad, etc.
A high level of safety awareness and will stand their ground to adhere to Austin’s and the customer’s safety policies
Capability to drive change in a positive manner
Tenacity to follow through with company directives.
Proficient in maintenance work plans and schedules
Skilled at building trust and morale.
Able to identify and implement actions to increase productivity and efficiency.
