Overview To gain valuable insight into Navy Federal’s business, technology, resources, and procedures by providing support in Navy Federal’s Enterprise Technology Services (ETS) Talent Development and Communication (TD&C) team. The intern will develop communication content and support types of projects including organizational change management and department wide events with executive leaders. The ideal candidate is conscientious, detail-oriented, and a team player with high learning agility and the desire to combine strategic communication theory and best practices with practical, hands-on experience. The intern will acquire valuable professional experience developing communication content and relationships with executives through independent and collaborative team projects, while receiving guidance and direction from the team and management. This is a year-round, full or part–time, flexible internship based on school schedule.Responsibilities

Support the ETS TD&C team with development of targeted organizational change management plans – including communications, sponsor roadmap, coaching, training and resistance management plans

Support the facilitation of large-scale executive meetings, either through content creation or promotion

Support communication and website management in modalities such as Adobe Experience manager (AEM), SharePoint, and Staffbase

Collaborate with team members to design digital and/or print material for marketing and training, to include email templates, handouts, PowerPoint slide decks, infographics, etc.

Work with internal teams to implement and create content for department projects

Process and update data in automated systems; may generate and analyze reports

Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Must be pursuing a degree from an accredited college/university, with a focus in strategic communication, psychology, business, marketing, instructional design, or a related field

Familiarity with change management methodologies, strategic communication, or design practices

Experience with relevant software including Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access, etc.)

Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

Ability to exercise initiative, produce desired results and achieve objectives

Ability to work collaboratively, ask questions, and provide/accept feedback

Ability to work independently on multiple assigned projects

Ability to provide exceptional customer service

Strong attention to detail
