This individual will craft clear, consistent messaging both internally within the Engineering function and more broadly across Carrier, and externally, to engage employees toward Engineering’s priorities, elevate the team’s reputation as an innovative and high-performing team, and inspire them toward Carrier’s vision to be the global leader in intelligent climate and energy solutions. This role will work directly with several senior leaders and partner with communications professionals across the enterprise to ensure a consistent and cohesive approach to communications.This role reports to the Director, Internal Communications and works closely with the SVP, Engineering.Key Responsibilities

Content Development & Messaging:

Create engaging content for internal and external audiences, including town halls, newsletters, videos, and intranet updates.

Ensure all messaging aligns with Carrier’s tone, brand positioning, and strategic priorities.

Functional Engagement:

Strengthen intra-functional communications by optimizing channels, improving content quality and consistency, and driving alignment and engagement across the Engineering team.

Public Relations & Thought Leadership :

Partner with WHQ corporate communications team to promote Carrier’s Engineering’s story through media opportunities, speaking engagements, and case studies.

Collaborate on thought leadership initiatives focused on innovation and digitally enable lifecycle solutions.

Executive Communications :

Develop messaging, presentations, talking points, and videos for the SVP, Engineering.

Manage production and execution of livestreamed global town hall events.

Awards and recognition :

Develop and execute an employee awards and recognition program for engineering.

Measurement and Analysis :

Use data and analytics to measure communication effectiveness and recommend improvements.

Required Qualifications

10+ years of experience in Communications, Public Relations or Journalism

Bachelor’s degree

Preferred Experience

Experience developing communications for global and multinational audiences.

Proficiency with Microsoft SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe Creative Cloud and social media platforms, specifically LinkedIn.

Exceptionally strong written and verbal communications skills that reflect an ability to clarify and simplify complex issues and subject matters.

Strong executive presence, exceptional listening skills, ability to anticipate needs and prepare accordingly and comfortable providing strategic counsel to senior leaders.

Proven project management skills, attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Ability to work with a sense of urgency under demanding deadlines, and balance multiple projects in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

Ability to translate data into actionable insights

Collaborative team player with a positive work ethic

Given the nature of this position, this role may require occasional after-hours work to meet urgent deadlines and high-priority deliverables.
