Accounting Manager/Controller

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounting Manager/Controller in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. This role is primarily responsible for overseeing all accounting operations in a club or hospitality setting and will be based 100% on-site. Responsibilities: Supervise and manage a team of 2 accounting clerks, overseeing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions Oversee complex reconciliations, including Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation and Bank Reconciliations Prepare and analyze financial statements Ensure tax compliance and handle payroll operations Engage in business conversations with members, setting appropriate expectations Support the CFO and prepare for potential advancement in the future Use Accounting Software Systems and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning for efficient operations Experience with Jonas Club Software is an advantage but not required Ensure proper auditing and billing functions are carried out Assist in the transition from a non-membership club to a membership club. Requirements Must possess a minimum of 7 years experience in a similar role Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential Experience with ADP - Financial Services is required Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions is necessary Experience with Great Plains (GPAC) is a plus Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions is required Proficiency in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Experience in Auditing is essential Familiarity with Billing Functions is necessary Knowledge of Jonas Club Software is a plus Ability to perform Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation is essential Experience in Financial Statement Preparation is required Proficiency in managing Payroll operations is essential Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations is necessary Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
