Safety Coordinator position
We are currently seeking an entry-level Safety Coordinator to join our Safety Department.

Full-time position. MUST LIVE IN FLORIDA.
Hours: Monday to Friday
8 am 5 pm, 1-hour lunch break
Work Location: In person, 721 Garden Commerce Pkwy, Winter Garden, FL
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Review after 90 days.
The Safety Coordinator should be familiar with general DOT, FMCSA, and CSA rules and regulations to ensure the fleet is compliant and meets all federal, state, and local requirements.
PREFERRED CANDIDATES:
Have above optimal verbal, written, and communication skills
Are able to independently and confidently solve problems
Are able to learn and use customized computer software
Are Team Oriented but can also work efficiently independently
Have attention to detail and accuracy
Dependable, reliable, self-motivated, fast learners
Familiarity with general DOT, FMCSA, and CSA regulations is a plus
Have an excellent work ethics
Knowledge of Paper and Electronic logbooks is a plus
Knowledge of Trucking industry is a plus
DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Monitor hours of service utilizing third-party ELD service providers
Manage all aspects of inspection Records in accordance with DOT requirements
Assist in DOT required training records in accordance with FMCSA
Conduct periodic internal audit of DOT driver qualification files and records
Assist with review of driver applicant qualification documents for accuracy and completeness
Perform driver applicant background investigation reports
Assist in managing Driver Safety Performance
Perform other duties and lead initiatives as assigned from time to time
Assist in accident review
Work closely with compliance, recruiting, and dispatch team
Participate in New Driver Training, Orientation and Onboarding processes
