Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Professional Edger/Weed Eater/Trimmer Operator to join our lawn care crew. The primary responsibility of this role is to maintain the appearance of residential and commercial properties by trimming grass and weeds in areas that lawn mowers cannot reach. This includes fence lines, flower beds, trees, sidewalks, and other hard-to-reach places. The ideal candidate is punctual, safety-conscious, and takes pride in maintaining clean, well-groomed landscapes.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate edging equipment (manual and motorized) to trim and define edges along walkways, curbs, garden beds, and driveways
Operate weed eaters, string trimmers, and other handheld equipment safely and effectively.
Work closely with mowing and trimming crew to maintain high standards of landscape appearance
Maintain and inspect edging tools and equipment to ensure safe and effective operation
Follow safety procedures and company protocols at all times
Clean up debris and clippings from edging work
Communicate with crew members and supervisors to ensure client satisfaction
Identify and report any lawn issues or hazards (e.g., pests, damaged turf, irrigation problems)
Assist with other landscaping duties as needed (e.g., mowing, blowing, mulching)
Qualifications:
8 years of experience in lawn care or landscaping
Familiarity with landscaping tools and machinery
Strong attention to detail and pride in producing clean, professional results
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Physical stamina to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
Good communication and teamwork skills
Working Conditions:
Outdoor environment with exposure to various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain), dust, noise, and lawn chemicals
Fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
May require early morning starts, weekend shifts, depending on workload
