Millwork Delivery Driver

A leader in the Architectural Millwork Industry, offering the highest quality casework and millwork throughout the nation, is seeking an experienced and passionate Millwork Delivery Driver to join our successful and outstanding team! We specialize in the manufacturing and installation of custom commercial casework and millwork items primarily for hotels and restaurants among others.

JOB SUMMARY

The Driver is responsible for operating company owned or leased vehicles safely and efficiently, following DOT regulations, assigned routes for delivery; and manual unloading and/or pick-up of architectural millwork to customer jobsites by performing a variety of duties and core responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of three (3) years of driving related experience is a plus

Experience transporting materials/equipment and pulling trailers preferable

Must have current/valid driver’s license class E with a proven good driving record

Ability for Interstate travel and overnight stay as required

Basic mechanical knowledge preferable

Physical strength and stamina with ability to lift up to 75 lbs

Good attention to detail

Team player and self-motivated

Ability to communicate clearly and follow oral/written instructions

DUTIES include:

Load, delivery, and unload of millwork products/materials.

Lift, pull, push, and load materials (up to 75 lbs) into vans and/or trailers.

Secure loads using straps, poles, or ropes.

Package/wrap finished products and load/unload truck as required.

Deliver and unload goods to specific job sites in a timely and safe manner.

Assist cabinet installers in the field once delivery of merchandise has been made.

Perform daily company vehicles (fleet) safety checks keeping vehicles organized and clean.

Inspect and refuel as needed advising Supervisor of any maintenance required (i.e. low tire pressure, dents, etc.)

Inspect vehicle(s) for any damage, or maintenance issues prior to departure and records findings in a Daily Driver Log.

Ensure products and quantities being loaded and unloaded during delivery match shipping orders and reports any discrepancy to Supervisor.

Turn in all receipts for fuel or other purchases.

Participate in the maintenance of the shop area and equipment to keep the area clean, orderly, and safe.

Assist with other duties in the Shop during driving downtime.

Maintain valid Driver's License and immediately report any change to Supervisor.

Adhere to and follow company/state enforced safety requirements for loading and unloading products.

Follow all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

- Classification: Full-time Job, Monday – Friday from 7 am – 3:30 pm. Overtime as needed.
