As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our high standards by diagnosing and repairing our heavy equipment.ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and repair malfunctions in heavy construction equipment such as mini excavators, trenchers, backhoes, and loaders.Operate and inspect machines to identify defects.Dismantle and reassemble equipment using hoists and hand tools.Read and comprehend repair manuals to facilitate repairs.Examine parts for damage or excessive wear, test overhauled equipment for efficiency, and perform incidental work items within other crafts.QualificationsVocational/Technical certification or equivalent experience in heavy equipment repair.Specialized training in the repair and replacement of equipment components is preferred.Proficiency in the use of shop tools.Must have personal tools for the job.A valid driver’s license is required.Current CDL license with air brake certification is preferred, or willingness to acquire one.Ability to work in non-climate-controlled conditions.Must be able to perform physical activities such as lifting equipment (up to 50 lbs. unassisted), bending, standing, climbing, or walking.Must be able to handle hazards safely within the mechanic/construction industry.BenefitsHealth, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance (Aflac & Allstate).Simple IRA after 60 days of employment.Paid Holidays and PTO accrual after 90 days.
