Townsend Electric Inc. is a family-owned Commercial and Residential Electrical company located in Oviedo, who services clients in Central Florida. We're currently hiring for full-time Foreman, Mechanics, and Helpers who are ready and motivated to work.

ELECTRICAL HELPER

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Display satisfactory attendance and punctual jobsite arrival record

Demonstrate ability to operate hand and power tools associated with electrical work

Demonstrate good communication skills with TEI employees, subcontractors and clients

Attend safety meetings, codebook educational classes and company meetings

Organize material and maintain clean jobsite work area

Clean and stock company truck while foreman is visiting shop, assist with cleaning and organizing shop area

Dress, Act and Perform as…A Professional!

Fill in OJT sheets daily. Turn in OJT sheets to superintendent at the end of each month.

Requirements and Qualifications:

High school Diploma or equivalent

No experience required (We will offer on the job training and pay for electrical school)

Interest in working towards obtaining an electrical journeyman’s license

Pay: Depends On Experience

ELECTRICAL MECHANIC

Assist with establishing material list and receiving material

Perform installation of boxes, conduits, MC cable, conduit, supports, plates and covers

Perform basic installation of electrical wiring, receptacles, light fixtures, switches and device terminations

Assist with basic installation of transformers, panels, feeders, motors, VFD units, starters, and relays

Understand basic power, lighting, and control circuitry

Display basic understanding of approved electrical submittals

Able to perform electronic research for basic electrical equipment and other items associated with electrical design and installation

Read, interpret, and execute fundamental National Electrical Code requirements

Display and observe workplace safety standards and procedures, LOTO, etc.

Display proper use and cleaning of tools…Smart bender, Core drill, KO set, Pin gun, etc.

Experienced in field management of small and large electrical projects

Understanding of the structural, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical design

Thorough understanding of proposal, qualifications, exclusions, and VE items

Able to evaluate scope of work regarding subcontractors and vendors

Ability to read and understand Lighting, Gear and Subcontractors’ Submittals

Knowledge to draft and assemble ‘Request for Information’ forms

Able to schedule manpower and order material

Able to provide and enforce proper Safety procedures for jobsite electricians

Experienced in ordering and operating tools and equipment rentals

Responsible for completing all electrical phases of the construction project

Able to provide positive attitude and work professional with other trades

Requirements and Qualifications:

High school Diploma or equivalent

2 - 3 Years of Experience

Must be a team player, positive attitude and motivated to work.
