The Project
X Studios is building 24 interactive LED “Glow Pads” for a museum-style installation. Each pad combines a Raspberry Pi, force sensors, and NeoPixel lighting. All parts, fixtures, and a test jig are supplied—you bring precision soldering and neat cable-management skills.
What You’ll Do:
Hand-solder headers, sensor leads, and LED pigtails (≈12 joints per unit).
Crimp / heat-shrink low-voltage harnesses (5 V & 12 V).
Run a quick functional test (Pi boots, sensors read, LED color sweep).
Log build/QC results in a shared Google Sheet.
Volume & Timeline
2 4 pads total – about 1 hour per unit ≈ 24 hrs of bench time.
Target window: one week from start date (flexible).
Where
On-site preferred: X Studios shop, Winter Park (8 a m – 6 p m access, fully equipped benches, free parking & coffee).
Occasional remote work OK after first build review, but initial meeting & final hand-off happen on-site.
