Aluminum TIG Welder

Jon Richards Company is adding team members. We are looking for welder and fabricators. We work with aluminum and stainless-steel architectural elements for themed environments, mostly sets, props and signage. We utilize both TIG / MIG welders and spool gun.

Must have experience in aluminum.

Must be able to accurately add and subtract quantities and measurements.

Must be familiar with shears, press brake, saws, and hand tools used in fabrication.

Must be able to read a tape measure.

Must be able to follow verbal directions in English.

Must work safely!

Our normal work schedule is Monday through Thursday 7:00 AM - 5:45 PM. Overtime on Fridays is often required.

A TIG Welding test on 1/8" aluminum will be part of the interview.

Responsibilities:

- Perform TIG welding on various metal components and structures

- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols

- Use hand and power tools to fabricate, assemble, and install metal parts

- Operate machinery such as pipe threading equipment, plasma cutting machines, and press brake machines

- Conduct quality inspections to ensure welds meet specifications

- Maintain a clean and organized work area

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a TIG welder or similar role

- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols

- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of welding techniques

- Ability to operate machinery such as pipe threading equipment, plasma cutting machines, and press brake machines

- Familiarity with forklift operation and rigging procedures is a plus

- Attention to detail and ability to work with precision

- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity

- Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy materials

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
