Join our team as an Event Staff/General Laborer and be part of creating memorable experiences for our guests.
This contract assignment will be located at the Orange County Convention Center and the dates you will be working are May 6th-May 10th. You need to be able to work 7:00am-5:00pm (If you are a super star during the event they will ask you to stay until 7:00pm which gives you over time opportunity and possibly even Saturday the 11th).
You need to be willing to work rain or shine during this job, we need reliable candidates who know their way around the convention center.
Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent guest services
- Assist with event setup, breakdown, and coordination
- Move full carts of empty plastics from inside the building from each booth onto the shaded recycler outside
-Take out the bag liner from full carts and empty it into the recycler (You will have help)
- Move empty carts and fill with bag liner to exhibitors booths to refill
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all guests
- Must be able to stand, bend, walk for 10 hours a day (THERE WILL BE A LOT OF WALKING)
- Engage in mannerly speaking with guests/executives
- Monitor and enforce event rules and regulations
- Collaborate with the events management team to ensure smooth operations
Experience:
- Ability to Lift 25+ pounds (Not super heavy but if you need help there will be other staff)
- Previous experience working at the Orlando County Convention Center.
- Strong communication skills and comfort working with diverse groups of people
- Familiarity with events management practices is advantageous
