JOB DUTIES:
Design, fabricates, joins, and/or repairs equipment, fixtures and various types of metal objects and structures using MIG, TIG, Inner shield, and Flux-cored Arc Welding (Dual shield) techniques.
99% of what they do is Carbon Steel - very thick gauge and even some aluminum and stainless.
Determines layout of weld parts according to drawings and company/customer requirements.
Executes welds in all positions including from underneath, to the side, in a variety of shapes such as in a tube, and more.
Assists during welding of components in areas of expertise.
Assists with design and set-up of work centers.
Completes required weld documentation including line check sheets, and material movement paperwork.
SHIFT:1st shift:5AM-3:30PMMonday-FridayMust be open to 10 hour shifts and Fridays are mandatoryTraining on First shift after first 2-4 months then must be open to second shift:2:00PM-11:30PMMonday-FridayMust be open to 10 Hour days and Overtime due to production needs.Optional Overtime on weekends.ADDITIONAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Technical / vocational / or military training or related experience is a PLUS but not required.
2+ years of welding experience with at least one (1) years of experience in a similar environment.
Capable of meeting AWS D1.1 requirements.
Knowledge of welding techniques including MIG, TIG, Inner shield, and Flux-cored Arc Welding (Dual shield); aluminum MIG is a plus.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
Demonstrate ability to use all appropriate tools, measuring devices, forklifts, cranes, and fixtures required.
