Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity in the Professional Services industry for a diligent Sr. Accountant in Orlando, Florida. The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accurate preparation and maintenance of financial records, leveraging their skills in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Microsoft Excel, Month End Close, SAP, and Insurance.Responsibilities: Oversee the execution of account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and maintain related records for reference and audits Manage bank reconciliations, verifying and rectifying any discrepancies Handle the general ledger, posting journal entries, and maintaining accuracy Utilize Microsoft Excel to create financial reports and perform data analysis Manage the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is accurately recorded in a timely manner Use SAP for various accounting operations, including financial analysis and reporting Apply knowledge of insurance accounting principles in daily tasks and financial reporting Ensure all accounting activities adhere to the established accounting principles and standards.For consideration, please contact: Thomas Canary (contact information found on LinkedIn) and apply on the Robert Half Website Requirements Proficiency in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations Comprehensive understanding of general ledger management and journal entries Strong skills in Microsoft Excel Experience with month-end close processes Knowledge of SAP software Familiarity with the insurance industry Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred Prior experience in a similar role in the professional services industry Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines High level of integrity and professionalism.
