Description We are in search of a Payroll Specialist to join our team in the hospitality industry, based in Orlando, Florida. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity. The Payroll Specialist's main duties will involve preparing payrolls, processing employee records, and handling payroll-related discrepancies. Responsibilities: Prepare and process payrolls for multiple hotel locations in an accurate and timely manner Handle new hires, terminations, and changes to employee records Manage and validate all essential information related to Payroll including electronic timecards, deductions, or additional wages Ensure correctness of employee time and other wage information processed through the time and attendance system Prepare, input, and validate the accuracy of gratuity and tip distributions Reconcile benefit deductions and wage garnishments from employees Prepare and review periodic payroll reports for accuracy and compliance Investigate and resolve payroll-related discrepancies Respond to specific employees’ questions and concerns regarding earning and deductions matters Reconcile Quarter and Year-end Wage and Tax Registers for accuracy and complianceSkills: Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, Ceridian, IBM AS/400, and Kronos Timekeeping System Knowledge of 401k - RRSP Administration, About Time, Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR) Requirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems Experience with ADP - Financial Services Knowledge of Ceridian software Familiarity with IBM AS/400 Proficiency in Kronos Timekeeping System Understanding of 401k - RRSP Administration Experience with About Time software Ability to handle Accounting Functions effectively Proficiency in managing Accounts Payable (AP) Experience in handling Accounts Receivable (AR) Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
