Be a part of something bigger! Insight is looking for a Insurance Supervisor to join our team. The Insurance Supervisor will be responsible for the supervision of the Insurance Specialists and the day-to-day operations of the insurance department, providing expertise in insurance pre-certification and authorization of services. This is a fulltime position working, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (35%) Team Supervision Ensures comprehensive knowledge of company policies and procedures for all insurance specialists Establishes associate schedules to provide for planned time off, while ensuring appropriate staffing levels and adequate center coverage Monitors and approves timecards Participates in staff planning and hiring process along with management Initiates and participates in associate performance evaluations, compensation and development of associates including performance improvement plans, disciplinary actions and/or terminations Leads regular staff meetings and associate one-on-ones Develops and monitors the teams’ performance through QA process Implements training program for new associates Prioritizes the job flow of the department Fosters a team environment, ensuring appropriate communication Backs up front desk reception and scheduling area as needed Assists in the training of new front office associates (30%) Insurance Administration Receives orders for procedures from referring physician’s offices Determines if patient’s insurance is a part of the provider network Places outgoing calls to insurance companies for pre-certification or any authorization Receives pre-authorization from patients and insurance companies Contacts patient and referring offices using HIPPA guidelines prior to scheduled exam when additional information is needed Completes a variety of information including date schedule requests received, patient name, referring physician and procedures Maintains positive interactions with referring offices, patients and staff (30%) Price Quotes Completes payor-related information i.e., payor, payor class, date of appointment Obtains all workers compensation approvals from insurance companies prior to scheduled exam Obtains signs and symptoms in order to support medical necessity Required: High school diploma or equivalent 3-5 years medical office experience in a customer-focus environment 1+ year of prior supervisory experience in an office environment Proficient with using computer systems and typing Microsoft Office Suite experience Preferred: Associate’s degree Bilingual RAYUS Radiology is challenging the status quo by shining the light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment.
