Job Title: Director of Finance Job Code: 11667 Job Location: Orlando, FL Job Schedule: 9/80 Employees work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked – and have every other Friday off Job Description: The Director of Finance will be responsible for accounting/financial reporting, strategic planning/budgeting, cash management, capital planning, program finance, CAS compliance and new business finance functions. The position will be responsible for providing leadership, financial strategies and the management of financial resources to ensure the achievement of the site’s business plans and objectives. The position will also be responsible for the site’s overall financial plans and policies. A principal responsibility will be to ensure the quality of financial management throughout the organization, including processes and business analysis and providing informative reports to the entire senior management team. Essential Functions:

Provide leadership for significant financial growth

Establish financial policies, practices and procedures for the company

Establish appropriate business controls to engender an appropriate “results focus” in decision making

Lead the business through the challenges of growth and position the business to capitalize on as yet undiscovered opportunities

Understand and analyze financial performance as it relates to forecasted sales, profitability and cash flow

Improve profit as dictated by annual business plans

Manage Indirect Spending & Indirect Rates

Understand the impact of Indirect Rate changes on pricing and on future program performance

Coordinate expenditure programs to coincide with forecasted cash flow

Extensive experience in both cash and treasury management

Personally engage to ensure solid program-level financial performance, and that issues and methods for their containment are identified early

Personally engage in establishing new business financial strategies and ensure that issues and methods for their containment are identified early

Take initiative with ideas and actively help lead the company regarding strategic and tactical management issues, bringing financial and general management expertise to site leadership

Ensure Program Estimate at Completion (EACs) are maintained to accurately reflect financial performance

Ensure Programs requiring customer Earned Value Measurement System (EVMS) reporting are supported with accurate and on-time data.

Manage the company’s compliance with its Disclosure Statement and the government Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)

Manage Internal Controls and SOX compliance

Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 15 years of prior government finance/accounting experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 13 years of prior government finance/accounting experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 19 years of prior government finance/accounting experience

Experience in the defense industry

15 years experience with greater than 100m revenue operations

15 years experience with GAP and closing financials is required

Hands-on pragmatic approach to business, asset management, cash flow and profitability

Ability to identify problems, prioritize what needs to be done, and stay focused on the priority items to meet the division’s financial goals

Strong conceptual and business analytical skills

Experience in a Financial leadership role with both controller and treasury experience

A good background in corporate finance and a leading role in developing internal and external working relationships

Preferred Additional Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting is preferred

A MBA is a plus

Familiarity with the sales and booking process and knowledge of the marketplace for the company’s products and services

Experience in developing, implementing and utilizing of Earned Value Management techniques and processes

Ability to be an agent of change to enhance process and methods
