Description Orlando company is looking for a Controller. The company is looking for a minimum of 5+ years of experience. Responsibilities of the Controller will include, but not limited to the following. Coordinate the development and monitoring of annual budgets. Oversee the Accounting Department staff to include recruiting, training, cross-training, leave approval, performance evaluations, and workload assignments. Coordinate the maintenance and security of accounting systems with IT. Oversee all fiscal activities to include the review and approval of accounting entries prior to posting and payment, preparation and posting of journal entries, maintenance of chart of accounts, GL account reconciliation, and month-end and year-end close processes. Oversee use of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures to ensure legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions. Ensure timeliness and accuracy of financial and management reporting; oversee the preparation and communication of monthly and annual financial statements. Oversee compliance with annual federal, state, and local filings.
