Accounting Specialist

Description Robert Half is currently seeking an Accounting Specialist on a contract to hire basis for our client in the healthcare industry. The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for managing daily transactional accounting, reconciling general ledger accounts, and assisting with month-end close and financial statement preparation. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Manage daily transactional accounting tasks to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Perform balance sheet account reconciliation and maintain accurate records. Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports, ensuring they comply with company policies and industry regulations. Use Excel VBA for efficient data management and analysis. Record and post journal entries, contributing to the maintenance of accurate financial records. Assist with the month-end close process, ensuring all necessary journal entries are processed. Collaborate cross-functionally to manage profit and loss statements and reports. Utilize your university degree knowledge and skills to enhance accounting processes and procedures. Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.Requirements Possession of a University Degree in accounting, finance or a related field Proficiency in Excel VBA Experience with Balance Sheet Account management Familiarity with Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation Ability to prepare and analyze Journal Entries Understanding of Profit and Loss statements Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Attention to detail and high level of accuracy Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning in the field of accounting.
