Belle Isle Christian Preschool (BICP), a ministry of Belle Isle Community Church, offers a hands-on play-based environment while providing a Biblical foundation for preschool age children from 1- 5years old.

BICP is seeking candidates who love working with young children and are ready to play! This position is a full-time classroom assistant with hours Mon-Fri 8:30-4:30 in our Toddler Class.

Candidates should have experience working in a group setting with children, be a member of a church congregation, pass a level 2 background screening, and must have their required 45 DCF training hours completed, be in the process of completing or be willing to complete within the first 90 days of hire.

BICP does follow the OCPS calendar with school hours of 7am-4:30pm. Employees are provided with in-service training each year, paid holidays and school closures, and reduced tuition for childcare.

Experience:

-Previous experience in early childhood education, childcare, or private school settings is preferred.

-Familiarity with classroom management techniques is highly desirable.

-Experience working with toddlers is a plus.

-Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are essential.

Responsibilities

-Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and educational activities tailored to the needs of students.

-Support classroom management by helping maintain a positive and organized learning environment.

-Provide care and supervision for toddlers, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the day.

-Engage students in literacy education activities to promote reading and language development.

-Implement behavior management strategies to support students with diverse needs, including those in special education programs.

-Collaborate with educators to assess student progress and provide feedback on individual learning goals.

-Maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials and supplies.
