Location: Remote (Orlando)
Mimmic Fashion Jewellery is a family-owned small chain of fashion jewellery stores rooted in the vibrant community of Florida. With our continuous expansion and commitment to excellence, we are looking for a skilled Bookkeeper / Accountant to join our team on a part-time basis. This remote position offers the flexibility to work up to 20 hours per week from anywhere, with a primary focus on supporting our financial operations and contributing to our success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficient use of payroll software (Gusto) and time attendance management (When I Work).
- Proficient use of Excel and Lightspeed (payment provider) for financial data management.
- Preparation of monthly financial reports, particularly focusing on goods imported from China, and managing import duty aspects.
- Comprehensive payroll management.
- Conducting bank reconciliations.
- Providing variance updates.
- Managing accounts payable and preparing accounting reports.
- Timely payment of rents and updating sales tax obligations.
- Making journal entries and handling year-end accounting activities.
- Preparing miscellaneous reports as needed.
- Ordering store supplies.
- HR Duties: Updating wages, responding to employee and payroll inquiries.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven accountancy skills with a strong foundation in bookkeeping and accounting principles.
- Experience with the mentioned software tools (Gusto, When I Work, Excel, and Lightspeed) or the ability to quickly adapt to them.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in financial reporting.
Salary:
- $20 per hour
