Join our team. We are a boutique commercial real estate investment company seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to support our multiple companies and condominium associations. The ideal candidate will have experience in Real Estate accounting and property management. This is a fast pace environment and we are seeking a self-motivated individual with strong leadership and organization skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Prepare, review, and complete all weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial statements including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Variance, and management commentary by respective deadlines.
· Monthly reconciliation for multiple bank accounts in QuickBooks
· Review all the Company's AP/AR in conjunction with Bookkeeper.
· Attentively monitor daily cash balances to manage liquidity and potential capital shortfalls.
· Respond to accounting inquiries from external vendors, lenders, and investors.
· Lead the accounting integration of future property acquisitions and asset disposal.
· Assist external 3rd parties in preparing year-end tax returns.
· Process of all movement of company funds alongside payment of all AP, AR, debt payments, and investor distributions.
· Oversee monthly accounts receivable and provide property management support for multiple properties.
· Complete annual property expense reconciliations
· Analyze previous year’s expenses to prepare annual budgets for all properties.
· Assist in the development of office staff and organization.
- Prepare financial statements on an as needed basis for banks and partners.
- Talk to tenants about their billing occasionally.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Minimum 10 years of accounting experience
· Property Management experience a plus
· Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting preferred or accounting studies with related work experience.
· Experience with 1065 Federal Tax Returns
· QuickBooks expert level experience REQUIRED (QB Pro Advisor Cert a plus)
- Experience with Yardi software
· Microsoft Office expert level experience
· Ability to work in a fast-paced organization with tight deadlines.
· Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills and ability to prioritize work.
· Excellent written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
· Working understanding of joint venture waterfalls and complex partnership/fund structures is a significant plus.
· Prior experience at a property management, or real-estate investment company is a significant plus.
