Southern Ventures Corporation is a builder/developer which has been building fine homes and communities along the Emerald Coast of Florida for 49 years. We are currently expanding our team as we prepare to launch several new projects and seeking an experienced construction bookkeeper who is well-versed in job cost accounting and purchase order systems.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Issue Purchase Orders and Create Job Commitments
Maintain Vendor files
Receive Vendor invoices and reconcile to Purchase Orders
Maintain Accounts Payables & Accounts Receivables
Issue payments by checks
Maintain lien release documents
Reconcile bank statements
Maintain accrual accounting system
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Five years’ experience in accrual accounting or accounting degree.
Basic knowledge of construction materials & systems.
PREFERRED SKILLS
QuickBooks, Trimble Viewpoint
Advanced usage or certification in Word & Excel
Multi-tasking, organized, good people skills.
