We are a small moving company looking for a few bright and driven individuals to join our team. As a team member, you will disassemble and pack furniture, appliances, and other large items, box small items, load items safely in box trucks or moving containers such as PODS or Packrats. You will unload, reassemble, and set up items according to customer specifications under supervision. This is a physically hard job, and our ideal applicant can carry and move large things all day while demonstrating the cooperation and collaborative attitude for which we are recognized. You will be required to show care when handling items paying special attention not to bump, knick or scrape walls, doors, flooring or other customer property.
We require our team members to be available Monday- Saturday. Days and sometimes evenings.
This is also an on call position and requires you to be available when needed Monday-Saturday even if you are off you will be expected to work when called in.
Sunday is the only day guaranteed off unless approved in advance you will be expected to work all other days except red letter holidays.
We have a zero-tolerance of frequent tardiness or absence.
We are about getting so if you're not, PLEASE don't waste our time or yours.
If you arenot tough, please don't waste our time, this job is not easy. We frequently work 10-15hr days, get home late and wake back up early and do it again! Seriously, don't waste our time- we're gonna be pissed.
Mover Duties & Responsibilities:
Furniture and appliances should be disassembled and reassembled.
Blanket/pad wrap all furniture items
Move items to and from box trucks and containers such as PODS or Packrat, load and unload items.
Pack smaller items into boxes efficiently, taking care to preserve fragile objects.
Unpack items and set up items according to client requirements.
Ensure that customers are well-served.
Work under time restrictions to achieve specified deadlines; ensuring attention to detail and a great awareness of preserving other people’s property and information; and practicing excellent housekeeping at all times to guarantee a safe and clutter-free worksite.
On-site, tag, list, and securely load boxed material and furniture, and/or prepare for transfer to a warehouse or on-site storage container.
Ability to disassemble and reassemble furniture and access points (such as entrances) to enable content removal and reset.
Reposition content, furniture, or equipment on-site or in the warehouse as needed to accommodate work.
Mover Requirements:
Lifting heavy furniture and climbing stairs for long periods of time (most of our moves require carrying heavy items up and down stairs for multiple hours)
A valid driver’s license is required UNLESS you have multiple years experience in the moving industry and are a master packer/loader exceptions can be made
A working smart phone
Willing to travel daily up to 140 miles from Ocala to multiple jobs sites
Customer service abilities as a team player
It’s a plus if you’ve moved furniture before.
Have experience in operating a box truck a big plus
Ability to operate as part of a team or alone depending on the situation
Communication skills, both written and verbal
The ability to multitask in a fast-paced atmosphere has been demonstrated.
