This position will be full-time OR part-time and onsite.Flexible to work 2-3 days a week. Will be traveling to different school locations throughout the month M-F 8-5 or part time hours)What You’ll Do
Will review medical history with the patient/guardian and take blood pressure
Will complete the signs and symptoms and objective data of the SOAP notes and write up in the computer notes
Will use proper barrier techniques
Will pass instruments while correctly retracting tongue and/or cheek and while suctioning
Will coordinate assisting methods, activities and actions with dentist’s actions
Will adjust equipment and light source as needed by dentist
Will mix restorative materials and cements
Will ensure instruments and equipment are out and in place before patient arrives
Must be able to lift at least 10 pounds
Will maintain radiographic certification as licensed by the Board of Professional Regulations
Will use ScanX phosphoric plates and EagleSoft software
Will properly clean and sterilize instruments following dental clinic procedures
Will clean autoclave and clean the disinfect counters and environmental surfaces
What You'll NeedRequired:
Must have a Florida Dental Radiology Certificate, Florida Dental Expanded Duty Certificate and CPR certificate
FL driver's License
Ability to pass a level 2 background, drug screen and MVR
Experience working as a dental assistant
Experience performing the duties of Dental Treatment, Four Handed Dental Techniques, Proper Operatory Setup, Radiographs and Sterilization
Must have a working knowledge of standard dental procedures,, techniques and material used in the dental clinic
Must have a working knowledge of OSHA standards, dental infection control and hazardous dental materials
Must have a positive, helpful attitude toward dental director, dentist, students, staff, patients and their families
Must have the ability to enter information into EagleSoft electronic oral health record
Preferred:
Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
