About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day processing of invoices, vendor communications, and payment tracking. This is a key position that ensures our financial operations remain accurate, efficient, and timely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and verify invoices and check requests for accuracy and appropriate approvals
- Enter and upload invoices into the accounting system
- Match purchase orders, receipts, and invoices for accuracy
- Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain vendor files and ensure W-9 and tax documentation are up to date
- Assist with month-end closing and reporting
- Support audits and maintain proper documentation
- Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve payment issues
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance preferred)
- 1–3 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience
- Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite, or similar)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of general accounting principles and procedures
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in a high-volume AP environment
- Familiarity with 1099 filing requirements
- Knowledge of inventory, job costing, and/or ERP system
