Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Attorney/Lawyer in North Port, Florida. This role involves providing legal services, conducting legal research, drafting and reviewing legal documents, drafting policies, and making presentations in public meetings. Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive legal research on complex problems or projects, and draft opinions with recommendations or solutions Draft, review, and analyze resolutions, ordinances, and other proposed legislation Draft and review contracts, leases, real estate instruments, and other legal documents Stay updated on relevant court decisions, administrative decisions, legislation, and municipal matters Coordinate with special counsel, manage administrative matters and litigation, and attend hearings as assigned Make presentations in public meetings and provide training to staff Communicate with leadership on progress of assigned legal work and ensure its timely completionRequirements Must possess a Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school Admission to the state bar is mandatory Proficiency in the use of 3M and Adobe Acrobat is required Experience with Case Management Software, Conveyancer, and Document Management Ability to prepare and deliver briefings effectively Experience in Civil Litigation and Claim Administration is necessary Demonstrated skills in Complaint Handling Knowledge of Consumer Electronics laws and regulations Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills Ability to maintain client confidentiality and uphold ethics Must be detail-oriented and able to work under pressure Strong time management skills and ability to handle multiple tasks Excellent research and analytical skills Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
