Description We are in search of a Sr. Accountant to join our team in North Palm Beach, Florida. This role involves overseeing our financial operations, ensuring accurate financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting to support strategic decision-making within the construction industry. This is a short term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities Oversee all aspects of accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. Utilize financial software, including QuickBooks, for efficient accounting processes and reporting. Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and reports to ensure compliance with accounting standards. Conduct thorough account analysis to identify trends and variances in financial performance. Manage the budgeting process, including preparation, monitoring, and variance analysis. Collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit process and prepare necessary documentation. Maintain adherence to double entry bookkeeping principles and ensure accurate financial records. Provide guidance on accounting regulations and ensure compliance with applicable laws. Prepare detailed financial reports for management to facilitate informed decision-making. Support strategic planning initiatives through comprehensive financial analysis. Requirements Possesses a minimum of one year of experience in a Senior Accountant role or similar Holds proficiency in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations Demonstrates experience in working with General Ledger and Journal Entries Familiarity with Microsoft Excel is necessary Experience with month-end close procedures is required Proficiency in Quickbooks Online and QuickBooks Has experience in construction accounting Knowledgeable in handling sales tax matters Proficiency in using Buildertrend is a plus Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is beneficial, but not mandatory Possesses strong analytical skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
