OverviewSOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking a Director of Special Operations Programs within our Mission Operations Business Unit. The Director of Special Operations Programs is responsible for relationships between SOCOM and all business units and central corporate functions to ensure success in meeting business and corporate goals and objectives. Identifies and facilitates resolution of program issues. Acts in conjunction with the BD lead in Tampa to identify opportunities in SOCOM.Responsibilities
Develops and implements organization policies, practices, procedures; ensures the attainment of operational goals
Maintains operational awareness of business activities within Mission Operations
Acts as liaison between Tampa and corporate leadership and department leadership
Participates in all Mission Operations briefings and updates
Reviews, analyzes and prepares reports, records, and directives, and confers with managers / supervisors to obtain data required for planning activities, such as new commitments, status of work in progress, and problems encountered
Provides work direction, resolves problems, prepares schedules, and sets deadlines to ensure timely completion of work
Coordinates activities of departments with related activities of other departments to ensure efficiency and economy
Ensures departmental reports are accurate and provided in a timely manner
Identifies logistics opportunities in SOCOM for Mission Operations to pursue – participate in all proposal development activities
Be prepared to act as PM for SOCOM programs
Travel as required
Qualifications
In scope DoD TS/SCI security clearance
Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
15 years experience directly related to operational excellence
Minimum of 10 years’ experience successfully managing a team
Computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, email, spreadsheets and electronic presentations
Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to make significant presentations to senior staff and/or officials
Preferred Qualifications
TS/SCI with Polygraph is preferred
10+ years experience working with Special Operations Command
PMP preferred
Master’s degree in International Relations or similar is desired
Working Conditions
Working conditions as normal for an office environment
Requires periods of non-traditional hours including consecutive nights or weekends when necessary
May require ability to lift/and or move objects or packages of up to 25 lbs.
