Description We are providing a contract employment opportunity for a Cable Technician based in Naples, Florida. The individual will be integral to our operations in the telecom provider industry, assisting with cabling and wiring projects. This role will require a broad range of skills including broadband, networking, and cable installation. Responsibilities: Assisting with new construction building projects by installing and testing various types of wire such as Cat 6 E shielded and ground wire and RG-6 BNC wire. Ensuring all cables and wires are installed correctly and efficiently. Dressing racks with drip loop and testing all the above wire to ensure optimal performance. Utilizing skills in EO/IR systems, OSP, and Patch Panel to deliver high-quality work. Performing AB Testing to ensure the effectiveness of the installed cables. Managing cable installation tasks and ensuring they are completed to a high standard. Working with cabling and coax cable to provide excellent service to clients. Using digital skills to optimize the performance of installed cables. Addressing any issues or obstacles that may arise during the installation process promptly and professionally. Ensuring compliance with all safety and operational guidelines during the execution of tasks. Requirements Must have experience in Cable Installation, specifically with Coax Cable. Proficiency with Broadband technology is necessary. Knowledge of EO/IR systems is required. Familiarity with Networking concepts and practical applications. Understanding of Outside Plant (OSP) operations and maintenance. Ability to work with Patch Panels efficiently. Experience with AB Testing to optimize system performance. Proficiency in Cabling procedures and safety standards. Must have a good understanding of Digital systems. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve network problems effectively.
