Our client, in the Insurance Industry is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have Bachelors Degree in Accounting and a minimum of 3 years of experience, Working knowledge of GAAP and strong proficiency with Excel, which will align successfully in the organization.Job Title: Senior AccountantLocation: Tallahassee, FL (32309)Pay Range: $34 hourlyWhat’s the Job?
Assisting the Controller preparing financial analysis and reports and maintain the organization's system of accounting records.
Supervise the day to day accounting activities, help to monitor cash activity to ensure adequate funding of the disbursement and operating accounts.
Assist in the preparation of annual budget.
Oversee member assessment collection, reporting and reconciliation processes as needed.
Review and manage returned premium process in accordance with established policy and procedures.
What’s Needed?
Bachelors in Accounting, and at least 3 years of Accounting experience.
Prior Supervisory experience, with the ability to train and manage staff.
Knowledge of GAAP, Financial Analysis, and proficiency with Excel.
Strong Presentation, organizational, and time managment skills
Preferred: General knowledge of Insurance Industry practices
