Staff Accountant

Description We are in search of a diligent Staff Accountant to join our team in Miramar, Florida. This role is integral to our organization in the industry, as you will be tasked with managing accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our financial operations. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities Maintain and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable Efficiently process invoices and post payments Conduct data entry tasks and maintain accurate records Utilize Sage 300 and QuickBooks for various accounting tasks Ensure the accuracy of the general ledger and journal entries Conduct bank reconciliations and month-end close processes Identify and address gaps in accounting cycles Follow up with clients or internal processes as needed Conduct due diligence on past invoices, ensuring they have been sent and received Manage the dress code policy ensuring it aligns with the business requirements Requirements Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) operations Experience with Bank Reconciliations Demonstrated ability to manage General Ledger Proficient in preparing Journal Entries Familiarity with Month End Close procedures Experience with QuickBooks is required Knowledge of Sage 300 software Familiarity with Sage Accounting Software Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers High degree of accuracy and attention to detail Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
