We are hiring immediately for a COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT & MARKETING SPECIALIST position.

Location: Santa Rosa County Schools; 6032 Hwy 90. Milton, FL 32570. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Full time; Monday through Friday.

Details: The community engagement & marketing specialist will oversee all marketing, advertising, promotions, and community engagement at Santa Rosa County Schools.

Requirement: 1-2 years of marketing experience, strong communication skills both verbal and written, ability to present to large groups, social media management, merchandising, newsletters, etc., K12 a plus, community/student engagement, strong interpersonal skills.

Reports to: Resident District Manager

Job SummaryThe community engagement & marketing specialist is a proficient and seasoned expert entrusted with spearheading the marketing strategy for clients. Their primary objective is to devise creative and effective methods to enhance participation in child nutrition programs through merchandising, marketing, and promotional initiatives. They demonstrate expertise in developing, implementing, and monitoring cutting-edge marketing practices in line with industry standards. They play a big role in promoting child nutrition programs through innovative merchandising, impactful campaigns, and effective communication. Key Responsibilities:

Assumes leadership in overseeing all marketing, advertising, and promotional activities

Conducts thorough analysis of customer/resident research, current market conditions, and competitor information

Assists in the formulation and execution of marketing plans and projects

Expands and enhances marketing platforms to achieve organizational goals

Effectively manages the productivity and progress of marketing plans and projects

Regularly monitors, evaluates, and reports on all marketing activities and outcomes

Ensures the delivery of marketing initiatives within the established budgetary constraints

Provides comprehensive reports on return on investment and key performance metrics

Produces compelling marketing presentations to support business objectives

Cultivates and nurtures key stakeholder relationships both internally and externally

Collaborates closely with client and Chartwells K12 communications teams to align marketing strategies

Takes the lead in developing and executing community engagement strategies

Creates engaging marketing materials for clients, including social media content and website management

Additional Duties:

Develops comprehensive training modules and materials to guide frontline staff in merchandising and marketing child nutrition programs

Conducts regular evaluations and assessments of marketing strategies, identifying areas for improvement and implementing action plans as necessary

Collaborates with the culinary team to develop marketing strategies for new menu items, chef demonstrations, nutrition education lessons, and client delivery

Develops and executes community outreach programs to increase awareness and participation in child nutrition initiatives

Collaborates with schools, parents, and community organizations to organize and promote nutrition education events and workshops

Implements social media strategies to engage with the community, share nutritional resources, and promote healthy eating habits among children

Assesses the effectiveness of community engagement efforts through surveys, feedback collection, and data analysis, and adjusts strategies accordingly to maximize impact

Execute marketing programs in partnership with operators and regional support teams to ensure continued engagement from students, clients, and communities

Train and support operators in the implementation of student-facing and front-of-house programs, systems, and processes

Customize marketing materials - e.g. social media posts, flyers, brochures, and client presentations - and coordinate with district communications teams to execute

Conduct focus groups to understand what students and parents are looking for in the school meal program and identify areas for improvement

Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

1 year of marketing experience.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Ability to present to large groups.

Knowledge of merchandising and promotions.

Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet.

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing is preferred.
