The Lead, Analytics will operate in a highly collaborative environment of BI developers, data scientists, data engineers, domain experts and business leaders to deliver analytics products that have the potential to fundamentally alter how healthcare is thought about and delivered in a large scale. The incumbent in this role uses their expertise, skills, and technical knowledge to transform data into metrics, automated reports, and dashboards. With deep knowledge and expertise, the incumbent in this role formulates, recommends, and leads data-driven projects which are geared at furthering the company’s interests. The incumbent provides actionable insights to improve decision-making at all levels of the business. The incumbent in this role is responsible for managing assigned projects, provides support with on-the-job training and gives skillful guidance with escalations and complex situations.ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on different projects for specific products, processes, and domains of the business’ operations.
Leads other team members across a range of projects. Assumes a prominent role in the development of junior staff. Behaves as mentor to junior team members to provide technical advice.
Manages large and complex analytical projects from data exploration, model building, performance evaluation, testing, and business implementation.
Partners with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and lead the development of dashboards, visualizations and solutions tailored to their needs.
Crafts and provides recommendations on adaptations or improvements to existing processes.
Contributes to the strategic and tactical planning of Business Intelligence standard, practices, and methodologies by sharing insights.
Ensures all analyses have scope, produce actionable insights, and a plan to disseminate analysis and solutions to business partners.
Identifies, analyzes, designs, implements, and tests BI solutions to meet business needs.
Builds and develops reports, dashboards, and tools using SQL, PowerBI, and SSRS, as well as other tools.
Translates multi-week objectives into discrete multi-week goals, weekly tasks, and daily steps to arrive at completion.
Designs and executes processes and procedures to continuously improve data quality and integrity.
Proactively identifying issues at every step and coordinates the implementation of required fixes.
Builds extensive internal and/or external networks to facilitate achievement of objectives.
Documents and maintains existing processes, architectures, and code.
Leads, coaches and influences team members through on-the-job training, troubleshooting, and handling escalations.
Assists, mentors, and instructs lower-level developers and analysts as needed.
Advises and instructs on complex matters through the use and exercise of prior experiences.
Identifies and implements the most appropriate options and solutions.
May conduct and lead analyses of structured and unstructured data to solve multiple and complex business problems, evaluate scenarios, and potential future outcomes utilizing advanced statistical techniques, mathematical analyses, and specialized expertise in the organization and/or industry.
Performs other duties as assigned and modified at manager’s discretion.

Expert knowledge and understanding of standard BI practices, functions, techniques, processes and methods

Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, plus a variety of other word-processing, spreadsheet, database, e-mail and presentation software
Ability and willingness to travel locally, regionally and nationwide up to 10% of the time
Spoken and written fluency in English

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE CRITERIA:
BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Medical Informatics, Statistics, Engineering, Economics, Healthcare Management, Nursing or related field required Or additional experience above the minimum may be considered in lieu of the required education on a year-for-year basis
Master’s degree with a combination of technical and business background strongly preferred
A minimum of 3-4 years of combined experience in healthcare industry as well as analyzing and manipulating data from a variety of production systems and data platforms required
Experience working with a variety of reporting and analytic tools (PowerBI / Tableau, and SSRS) required
RDBMS experience (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or Oracle, etc.) required
Experience in health care models including Medicare Advantage Programs and provider risk models is a plus
Some experience programming with a high-level scripting language (Perl, Python, C#, etc.) is a plus
Experience using tools in at least one cloud computing platforms such as Snowflake (highly preferred), Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform preferred
