Automotive Technician
We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Automotive Technician to join our team and assist in the repair, maintenance, and safety of vehicles. The successful candidate will perform a wide range of automotive services, ensuring vehicles are kept in top condition and customers receive high-quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, and electrical.
Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, filter replacements, and fluid checks.
Inspect vehicles for wear, damage, or safety concerns and document findings.
Operate diagnostic equipment, lifts, and hand/power tools safely and efficiently.
Perform test drives and verify quality of completed repairs.
Maintain cleanliness of shop areas, tools, and equipment.
Always follow safety procedures and report hazards, defects, or concerns to supervisor.
Provide excellent service and communicate effectively with team members and management.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience as an automotive technician or mechanic is strongly preferred.
Ability to operate and maintain automotive tools, lifts, and diagnostic equipment.
Knowledge of vehicle systems, repair techniques, and preventive maintenance.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Must be able to hear, read, write and speak English fluently.
Speaking Spanish is a plus.
General knowledge of industry-standard automotive software (such as Mitchell1) is a plus.
Must have reliable transportation and be punctual.
Physical stamina and ability to lift at least 50 lbs., stand for long periods, and work in varying conditions.
Valid Florida Driver’s License required.
ASE certifications a plus (not required).
Working Conditions
This position involves indoor shop work, often with exposure to heat, It requires standing, walking, lifting, bending, and using tools for extended periods. Work hours may include evenings, weekends, and overtime depending on shop needs.
