We are a local print shop that has an open position for a Graphic Designer/Prepress person who may be looking to learn and expand your skills in a commercial printing environment.
Our company is looking for candidates who are able to work independently as well as part of a team, problem solve, flexible schedule, organized, responsible, can multi-task, good customer service and can work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Knowledge and experience of the Adobe Suite programs (primarily Photoshop and Indesign) is necessary. Knowledge of CMYK, RGB and Spot colors.
This is not a strict graphic design position. Since this is a small business, additional tasks will be required to help run the business such as packing orders to be shipped, creating invoices for these orders and using the production machines. Friendly, casual and creative work environment. Training for all responsibilities would be taught slowly and thoroughly. We want you to succeed. This is a long term position that can lead to more hours and responsibilities.
Responsibilities include:
- preflight customer files
- create and prepare files for production
- send proofs to customers
- upload orders to outside vendors
- invoice these orders
- use production and bindery machines as needed
