Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a thorough understanding of legal procedures. This role is essential in supporting attorneys with case preparation, research, and various administrative tasks. A background in family law or civil law.
Duties
Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and meetings by organizing case files and documentation.
Conduct legal research using tools such as Westlaw to support case strategies and litigation efforts.
Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
Manage case files using Clio Document Management Systems to ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
Maintain effective communication with clients regarding case status and document requests.
Perform clerical duties such as filing, scanning, and organizing documents for easy retrieval.
Support the legal team in various administrative tasks as needed.
Experience
Proven experience as a Paralegal or in a similar legal administrative role.
Familiarity with legal terminology
Proficiency in using legal research tools such as Westlaw and document management systems.
Strong clerical skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
Knowledge of Clio or similar practice management software is a plus.
