Responsibilities:
- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including teeth cleaning, scaling, and polishing
- Take and develop dental x-rays using medical imaging equipment
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized oral health care instructions
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide sedation as needed
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including providing chairside support and maintaining a sterile environment
- Document patient information, treatment plans, and progress notes in the dental office software (Dentrix)
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient and effective patient care
- Maintain infection control protocols and adhere to all safety regulations
