Position: Caregiver for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities
Location: Oakland Park, Only a few blocks of I-95 along Andrews Blvd.
Pay: $15 / hr
Start: Saturday at 5:00 PM
End: Monday at 9:00 AM
Please understand this is a continuous 38-hour shift. There is ample downtime throughout the day and evening after completing required tasks. During nighttime hours, clients typically retire to their bedrooms by 9:00 PM.
Qualifications:
MUST have a High School Diploma or GED, otherwise please don't inquire. (Very sorry but Regulators will NOT accept a HHA in place of a high school diploma or GED)
Caregiving experience
Must pass a background check
Will need to be certified in First Aid / CPR (can be done after hire date if necessary)
Maturity and intuition to know how to prevent, minimize, and resolve conflict.
Per housekeeping duties: Able to push / pull sofas and twin beds, and flexibility to bend / squat such as in cleaning a
bathroom
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities:
Provide hands-on assistance with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication
administration
Offer personalized support, including one-on-one assistance, for clients who require hands-on assistance showering and
toileting
Assist in organizing and facilitating outings and recreational activities for residents, including transportation to and
from various destinations
Maintain a tidy and orderly living space with housekeeping duties, including laundry, dusting, sweeping, and mopping.
Keep bedrooms orderly, and ensure bathrooms are fresh at all times.
Be able to communicate effectively with residents, their families, social workers and other staff members to ensure
continuity of care
Complete documentation in accordance with compliance guidelines.
