The F&B Manager is responsible for the day-to-day functions of the bar’s food & beverage department. The
F&B Manager will be largely responsible for hiring, training, oversight of staff, along with, private parties. This position will report directly to the General Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Hire, train, develop, counsel, evaluate, and discipline staff, including performance reviews
Ensure smooth running of the F & B operations
Be in charge of all food & beverage menu served throughout the restaurant, design, testing, service.
Implement monthly team and individual training sessions
Ensure maximum revenue is achieved from all sales opportunities.
To be instrumental in the recruitment and training of new staff
Maintain staff product knowledge and up selling skills
Ensure the standard of service provided to each guest is to the Company’s defined standard
Ensure that the agreed standard of personal presentation is maintained at all times by the staff
Ensure the Company’s Health & Safety policy is adhered to at all times.
Development of junior managers/supervisors
Gather guests feedback and forward to GM
Proactive approach to new ideas and changes
Able to work long hour shifts, late nights, Weekends, Holidays.
Any other duties as directed by the General Manager
Your Qualifications: Must have 1-3 years related experience in food & beverage operations with a proven track record of leading a professional, efficient, high quality, service-oriented operation.
Strong email, PC and internet skills - including MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook Strong entrepreneurial sense, background in managing all aspects of a business. Hospitality driven mindset, always willing to go that extra step. Ability to thrive in highly collaborative, cross-functional team environment. Solid financial skills and the ability to analyze financial statements and modify operations to meet financial goals. The ability to maintain a "sense of urgency" attitude for the completion of responsibilities/tasks. Superior organizational and follow up skills with extreme attention to detail. Dedication and willingness to go above and beyond. Achievement of budgeted food sales, beverage sales, labor costs and profitability. Proven ability to successfully work with vendors and agencies to produce results
