Staff Accountant

Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity in the accounting industry, specifically in Miami, Florida, 33122, United States, for a Staff Accountant. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial reports, improving efficiency in accounting processes, and ensuring the integrity of accounting information. Responsibilities: Identify areas for improving the efficiency and accuracy of the operational accounting processes. Recommend and implement solutions to streamline workflows. Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and support to departments, including assistance with audits, cost control measures, and special projects. Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions. Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information. Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies as needed for month-end close. Maintains general ledger by reconciling entries. Analyzes general ledger and creates month-end close entries such as accruals, depreciation batches, and journal entry reclassifications as needed. Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential. Proficiency in performing Bank Reconciliations is essential. Experience with General Ledger management is required. Ability to record and process Journal Entries accurately is a must.
