The Department of Psychology and the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center have a new opportunity for a full-time Research Associate 1, GAB to assist research projects relating to quality of life, health behaviors, and intervention development and testing in the context of cancer and/or aging. This role provides an excellent opportunity for those interested in behavioral health and non-pharmacologic intervention trials in healthcare settings. The Research Associate 1, GAB supports research activities including the planning, coordinating, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating of clinical research studies. The incumbent works closely with study team members, clinicians, and other study sites, and operates with the goal of advancing their expertise through continued education, training, and research.CORE JOB FUNCTIONS

Assists in participant screening, recruitment, and retention activities.

Participates in data collection using participant surveys, in-depth interviews, and medical record reviews.

Assists with data entry and data quality management.

Adheres to cultural competency guidelines; implements strategies to meet study participants’ needs for language translation, health literacy, etc.

Maintains requisite skills and mandatory training in safety, equality, responsible conduct of research.

Understands and interprets research protocols and procedures.

Participates in the publication of significant results.

Maintains an overview of relevant research findings.

Ensures all research is undertaken according to good research practice.

Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

The incumbent will work under the supervision of study investigators.
