We are searching for aRegional Sales Manager - South Americaand Caribbeanbased in Miami, FL or Puerto Rico to join our team (100% virtual role).Your Role:The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for delivering annual commercial plans while setting the long-term strategic direction and growth aspirations for the assigned markets and/or customers. The position will focus on sales acceleration through stronger distributor and customer engagement, enhancement of executional standards, distribution expansion and improvement in operational efficiencies while achieving year on year margin improvement. This role leads the relationship with distributor teams and is responsible for developing relationships at top-to-top collaboration with lead customers across the region. You will have the opportunity to:Business ResultsAccountable for achieving business targets across the assigned markets and/or customers:

Achieve Sales targets (Gross and Net Sales) as per aligned monthly phasing targets.

Deliver Gross Profit (GP) target at an absolute and margin level in addition to year-on-year GP margin improvement.

Achieve In-Market Sales (IMS) and healthy stock levels across all markets.

Accelerate market share and distribution gains in the region across categories.

Personal Leadership

Demonstrate a desire to take on new challenges, with multiple priorities, and managing ambiguity; while supporting a high-performance culture, founded on teamwork and collaboration to deliver the strategic and commercial objectives of the business.

Distributor Management

Build a strong commercial relationship with distributors across assigned markets and/or customers.

Management of distributor agreements including contract negotiation, margin optimization and annual commercial plan and resource requirements alignment.

Design and roll out optimum market coverage leveraging distributor resources and scale to achieve optimal distribution levels and in-market execution, to deliver sustainable sales growth.

Identify opportunities to consolidate distributors and leverage scale to accelerate growth and margin improvement.

Secure incremental sales and profit growth through whitespace geographic and category expansion opportunities.

Customer Management

Owner of the overall relationships with local and regional key customers.

Lead the distributor teams to drive optimal assortment, merchandising, pricing / promotion across key customers.

Lead the activity planning process to build and implement key customer annual plans.

Financial Planning and Controls

Accountable for commercial P&L management for the assigned markets and/or customers.

Identify and target margin improvement initiatives

Complete frequent pricing reviews and capture price increase opportunities.

Take required actions to improve SKU, channel and distributor mix management performance.

Make trade spend investment and rationalization decision across the assigned markets and/or customers.

Present customer monthly trade spending plan/actual and process distributor credit notes.

Operations

Ensure implementation of integrated S&OP processes across the assigned markets and/or customers.

Improve forecast accuracy and adherence and long-term visibility of sales drivers.

Minimize OOS risk by maintaining aligned stock cover levels and compliance with ordering process and timelines.

Data and analytics

Measure and execute actions to improve leading and lagging execution KPIs across strategic markets.

Direct and run own deep analysis of data including syndicated data, POS data, IMS, internal sales; to identify issues/opportunities, causes to recommend and implement solutions.

Conduct monthly reviews by market leveraging GS, IMS, EPOS, distribution and market share data to assess country, channel and category performance and put rollout required action plans.

We need you to have:

Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, required.

5 years, minimum, of sales/distributor management/customer and category management/trade marketing/ finance with a CPG company, required.

Proven experience leading distributors and indirect sales organizations.

Strong knowledge of the target region and its markets.

Ability to perform at both strategic and operational day-to-day levels.

Strong understanding of trade spending and P&L management, required.

Ability to implement and manage integrated S&OP process across distributor markets.

Strong entrepreneurial attitude and ability to navigate through complexity and ambiguity.

Very strong analytical skills required. Naturally inquisitive in exploring/mining data and looking for insights to drive business decisions.

Expert in MS Office (minimum Excel, PowerPoint and Word).

Ability to travel internationally (75%).

Fluent in English and Spanish.

Icing on the cake:

MBA or another advanced degree, preferred.
