This OpportunityWSP is currently initiating a search for a  Program Manager, Resilient Infrastructure to support our company’s growing Resilience Practice and our Climate, Resilience and Sustainability Team. This is a full-time position located in  Miami or Fort Lauderdale offices.This is a program management position that requires experience in leading infrastructure resilience engineering projects and programs. These may be focused on (i) assessing the probable impacts caused by climate-related hazards, such as exacerbated flooding and extreme heat, to our clients’ infrastructure assets, their services, and our society, and (iii) supporting the integration of this information into policy, strategies, programs, planning, projects, and climate adaptation decisions to support climate resilience efforts.You will work with other experts from our Resilience Practice, including engineers, climate scientists, planners, economists, policy specialists, and risk modelers, and expand our organization to meet our growing portfolio of clients.Your Impact

Work across multiple projects, delivering on commitments through effective coordination with internal and external resources, including consulting team partners.

Contribute to the continued expansion of the market, through the delivery of existing services and products for new clients and the design and delivery of new services and products aimed at supporting effective decisions and improve capital investments

Represent WSP in the marketplace, contributing capabilities and experiences to other WSP offices.

Actively collaborate with professionals from a variety of disciplines to foster and provide “trusted advisor” service and future-ready solutions for clients.

Provide guidance and training to junior-level staff.

Lead and/or participate in client meetings and interact directly and independently with clients to understand and meet requirements for projects.

Proactively apply knowledge regarding the range of services provided by the various Advisory Services business lines in support of marketing efforts, business development pursuits, leads, and proposals.

Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.

Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

Who You AreRequired Qualifications:

Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of Florida

Master’s degree in engineering, planning, physical sciences, or other relevant discipline

15+ years of relevant professional experience that includes working on diverse transportation projects (e.g., roads, bridges, airports, seaports, transit)

Demonstrated management leadership in civil and environmental project design and delivery

5+ year of experience leading or working at a local governmental agency

Ability to innovative on challenging topics to produce client-tailored solutions

Works independently to provide guidance and leadership to mid-level to senior level team or project members, and on efforts requiring remote collaboration.

Attention to detail; commitment and skills to identify and detect errors; commitment to thorough quality reviews and checks; and commitment to accuracy, correctness, and excellence

Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing intricate ideas effectively and professionally to a technical and non-technical audience.

Strong self-leadership and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to effectively, persuasively, and tactfully interact with clients, regulators, project managers, and employees at all levels of the organization.

Highly proficient with technical writing, office automation, discipline-specific design software, technology, math principles, predictive models, data science, spreadsheets, and tools.

Well-developed critical thinking and problem-solving skills required to apply technical knowledge to reach conclusions from testing results, data collation, computations, statistical analysis and arriving at the most effective, economical, and logical solution.

Demonstrated effectiveness at coordinating and assertively directing subcontractors and others to consistently complete tasks safely and efficiently.

Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.

Must be flexible to a variety of schedules to meet business needs and able to prioritize responsibilities and quickly adapt to change in a pressure work environment.

Experience working for government in a leadership position

Experience working with diverse infrastructure stakeholders (e.g., transportation, water, energy, municipal) to address resilience concerns

Envision Sustainability Professional certification

Certified Flood Plan Manager (CFM)

Qualified Stormwater Management Inspector

Certified General Contractor
