We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our client's team in Coconut Grove, FLJob Description: As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll for our client’s employees. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of payroll regulations and best practices.Key Responsibilities:
Process and manage bi-weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
Maintain and update payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data
Review and verify timesheets, wage computations, and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies
Handle payroll deductions, benefits, garnishments, and other payroll-related adjustments
Prepare and distribute payroll reports and statements
Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues and resolve any discrepancies
Ensure accurate and timely year-end reporting, including W-2 and 1099 forms
Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll laws and regulations
Requirements
Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred
Proven experience as a payroll specialist or in a similar payroll processing role
Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex) and MS Office, particularly Excel
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
